It’s bent just enough to slip your arm through- or, if you’re lucky, wedge yourself in best you can and try to open the door like that… Nah, you’ll pull it open.

Huh. You could have sworn you heard Aequora just now… It must be your imagination. You’ve yanked the door open to reveal a rather long fall. Not into the unknown, thankfully, but into some murky water filled with rusted spheres. Honestly, you don’t want to go anywhere near it- and what seadweller would want to have such filth in their gills? But the only other way is endless stairs, and you’re sick of those. You literally had LESS than a second to think before you were hurtling through the air, be it pushed or you were simply just that unlucky- and you’re leaning towards that latter as you smack into the water. With a groan you let yourself sink, taking a minute to recover before dragging yourself to the surface. You had been right about the filth, it’s stinging your gills and making it hard to breathe.
